Why should I use baby sun protection products?

There are a number of reasons why you need to use sun protection products but the main one is because of the research, and now proof, that exposure to the sun can cause skin cancer. Both children and adults should take great care but especially fair skinned youngsters and babies. Repeated exposure to the sun without proper skin protection is a recipe for disaster. Skin cancer is the number one cancer in America and it is easy to take the necessary precautions to minimise the risk or even prevent it completely.

Another reason to use proper sun protection is premature aging. A dark tan or even pink skin is an indication of sun damage. The correct use of the myriad of products available will reduce the aging of the skin and moisturise the skin at the same time.

People who have for years been exposed to the sun and not used protection and have started using it later in life should be aware that the damage may have already been done and be on the lookout for any changes in their skin or the appearance of dark moles. Doctors should be consulted as soon as possible when this occurs as early treatment is vital.

Finally please don’t think that because you are a farmer or building site worker that you are exempt. Working in the sun at all times of the year, not just sunbathing, has risks. There are many cases of outdoor workers suffering skin cancers on their arms, legs and faces, so sun protection is still a must.
